1. Zafirlukast
Zafirlukast acts by blocking the action of leukotrienes which are chemicals released by the body as part of the inflammation response. Leukotrienes act in many areas of the body. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Oral blood thinners (eg, warfarin) because the actions and side effects, including increased risk of bleeding, may be increased by Accolate. Take this medication on an empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal.
2. Zantac
Treating heartburn or irritation of the esophagus caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It may be used to treat and maintain healing of severe irritation of the esophagus (erosive esophagitis). It may be used to treat conditions that cause your body to make too much stomach acid (eg, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome). For children 1 month to 16 years of age, the usual daily dosage is 5 to 10 milligrams per 2.2 pounds of body weight, divided into two doses. It may take up to 8 weeks of using this medicine before your ulcer heals.
3. Zyprexa
Treating schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. There may be an increased risk of drowsiness and sedation if olanzapine is taken with any of the following (which can also cause drowsiness): alcohol. 6. Zebeta

If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Take Zanaflex exactly as directed. It works by blocking nerve impulses (pain sensations) that are sent to your brain.
8. Zidovudine
Zidovudine is an antiviral medication that prevents human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) cells from multiplying in your body. Zidovudine is used to treat HIV, which causes the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Call your doctor at once if you have any of these symptoms, even if they are only mild. changes in the shape or location of body fat (especially in your arms, legs, face, neck, breasts, and trunk). Do not take Retrovir with Combivir or Trizivir, which contain the same active ingredient.
9. Zocor
Simvastatin is a cholesterol- lowering medicine. It inhibits the production of cholesterol by the liver. Simvastatin is generally well- tolerated. This results in lowered levels of 'bad fats' and raised levels of 'good fats' in the blood. This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to one or any of its ingredients.
10. Zetia
Zetia is a new kind of cholesterol-lowering drug. The older cholesterol-lowering drugs called "statins" reduce cholesterol by interfering with its production in the body. "Good" HDL cholesterol helps to prevent clogged arteries. The drug is recommended only if its benefits are thought to outweigh the potential risk. Zetia may be taken alone or with a statin drug.
11. Zofran
ONDANSETRON (Zofran®, Zofran ODT®) helps to relieve nausea and vomiting, especially when associated with the treatment of cancer (chemotherapy). Ondansetron may also be used to prevent or treat nausea and vomiting that occurs after surgery, and occasionally is used to treat severe vomiting during pregnancy. Children 4 through 11 Years of Age. Certain medicines should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If the chemotherapy is especially likely to cause nausea and vomiting, the recommended dosage is one 24-milligram tablet taken 30 minutes before the treatment.
12. Zyrtec
CETIRIZINE (Zyrtec®) is an antihistamine. Antihistamines work by preventing the effects of a substance called histamine, which is produced by the body. Tell your prescriber or health care professional about all other medicines you are taking, including non-prescription medicines, nutritional supplements, or herbal products. This medication can be taken with or without food. If you are taking cetirizine on a regular schedule, take the missed dose as soon as you remember.
13. Zyban
BUPROPION (Zyban®, Buproban) is a prescription medicine to help people quit smoking. Bupropion can reduce the symptoms caused by stopping smoking. Do not smoke while using a patch, because too much nicotine can cause serious side effects. Bupropion may cause seizures, especially in people with certain medical conditions or when using certain drugs. This risk is greater if you take other medicines that can increase the likelihood of seizures in combination with this medicine.
14. Zerit
STAVUDINE, d4T (Zerit®) is an antiviral drug called a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor or NRTI. Stavudine is used to treat human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. changes in the shape or location of body fat (especially in your arms, legs, face, neck, breasts, and trunk). Zerit can also cause serious and even fatal pancreatitis, especially if you've had the problem in the past, suffer from gallstones, or drink alcoholic beverages. Do not share needles, other injection equipment, or personal items such as toothbrushes or razor blades.
15. Zyvox
Zyvox is a member of a new class of antibiotics called oxazolidinones. It is used to treat certain types of pneumonia, some forms of skin infection, and infections involving certain strains of a germ called Enterococcus faecium. If you discontinue it too soon, surviving germs may cause a relapse. Enterococcus faecium Infections. The usual dosage is 600 milligrams every 12 hours for 10 to 14 days.
16. Zestril
Zestril is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. It is effective when used alone or when combined with other high blood pressure medications. if you are a woman of childbearing age. If you feel you have experienced an allergic reaction, stop using this medicine and inform your doctor or pharmacist immediately. This is not a complete list of all side effects that may occur.
17. Zyloprim
Allopurinol reduces the production of uric acid in your body. Uric acid buildup can lead to gout or kidney stones. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. If you have been taking colchicine and/or an anti-inflammatory drug, such as Anaprox, Indocin, and others, to relieve your gout, your doctor will probably want you to continue taking this medication while your Zyloprim dosage is being adjusted. Be sure to keep all doctor and lab appointments.
18. Zaleplon
Sonata is prescribed for people who have trouble falling asleep at bedtime. Because it has a short duration of action, it doesn't help those who suffer from frequent awakenings during the night or those who wake too early in the morning. Sonata is very fast-acting and should be taken only at bedtime. Sonata is not recommended for people with severe liver disease and is best avoided during pregnancy. Zaleplon works by acting on receptors in the brain that are involved in the release of chemicals that cause sleepiness and control anxiety.
19. Zithromax
AZITHROMYCIN (Zithromax®) is a macrolide antibiotic that interferes with the growth of bacterial cells. It is used to treat bacterial infections in many different parts of the body. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Because a side effect is stated here, it does not mean that all people using this medicine will experience that or any side effect. The usual dose is a single 2-gram (2,000 milligrams) dose.
20. Zovirax
Acyclovir is an antiviral drug. It slows the growth and spread of the herpes virus so that the body can fight off the infection. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Before taking acyclovir, tell your doctor if you are also taking probenecid (Benemid). However, no specific interactions with Zovirax Capsules are known at this time.
