1. Ezetimibe
Treating high cholesterol along with a cholesterol-lowering diet. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. Vytorin 10mg/10mg -white, capsule-shaped tablets. Vytorin is a combination of 2 medicines. Cholesterol-lowering drugs are typically prescribed for people who either have heart disease or are in danger of developing it.
2. Escitalopram
Citalopram is an antidepressant in a group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Citalopram affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause depression. There is a slight chance that Celexa will trigger a manic episode. If you are under 18 and taking citalopram for depression you should consult your doctor for advice, but do not suddenly stop taking it as this can cause withdrawal symptoms. a history of drug abuse or suicidal thoughts.
3. Ephedrine
This belongs to the group of medicines known as nasal decongestants.It is used to treat nasal congestion (a blocked-up nose). Ephedrine relieves nasal congestion by causing the small blood vessels of the nose to become narrower. If you experience any other worrying symptoms, which you think may be due to this medicine, discuss them with your doctor or pharmacist. If you play sport in a competitive capacity then you should bear this in mind and consult your doctor for advice. Do not use more ephedrine nasal drops than your doctor or pharmacist recommends.
4. Elavil
Elavil is prescribed for the relief of symptoms of mental depression. It is a member of the group of drugs called tricyclic antidepressants. Elavil may be taken with food or on an empty stomach. Use a sunscreen (minimum SPF 15) and wear protective clothing if you must be out in the sun. The effects of Elavil during pregnancy have not been adequately studied.
5. Etoposide
Etoposide is a cancer medicine that interferes with the growth of cancer cells and slows their growth and spread in the body. Etoposide is used to treat cancer of the lung or testicles. Ask your healthcare provider or pharmacist any questions you have about this medication, especially if it is new to you. You should take certain precautions to reduce the chance of infection. Etoposide may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.
6. Exelon
Treating mild to moderate impairment of memory, judgment, and abstract thinking, as well as changes in personality caused by Alzheimer disease. Rivastigmine is a cholinesterase inhibitor. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions. It works by preventing the breakdown of a chemical called acetylcholine (ah see til KO leen). If you miss your dose for more than 2 days, contact your doctor.
7. Enalapril
ENALAPRIL (Vasotec®) is an antihypertensive (blood pressure lowering agent) known as an ACE inhibitor. Enalapril controls high blood pressure (hypertension) by relaxing blood vessels; it is not a cure. People undergoing therapy to decrease allergy to bee or wasp stings (desensitisation). The usual starting dose is 2.5 milligrams twice a day. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
8. Etoricoxib
Type of medicine: Cox-II selective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Used for: Osteoarthritis Rheumatoid arthritis Gout. Fluid retention: Speak to your doctor if this persists. Before taking etoricoxib make sure your doctor or pharmacist knows.If you are pregnant, trying for a baby or breast-feeding. Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction after taking any medicine.
9. Elocon
Mometasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid that is used topically on the skin. (The naturally-occurring glucocorticoid is cortisol or hydrocortisone which is produced by the adrenal gland.) Glucocorticoids have potent anti-inflammatory actions and also suppress the immune response. Do not use Elocon cream or ointment on your face, underarms, or groin area unless your doctor tells you to. Avoid getting it into your eyes. If your skin becomes irritated, call your doctor.
10. Evista
Treating and preventing osteoporosis (bone thinning) in women past menopause. Evista is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). The manufacturer has not studied the effect of taking raloxifene in combination with medicines that contain oestrogen, eg HRT. Raloxifene is available with a prescription under the brand name Evista. 11. Eulexin
Eulexin is used along with drugs such as Lupron to treat prostate cancer. Eulexin belongs to a class of drugs known as antiandrogens. Wear a sunscreen and protective clothing. If any develop or change in intensity, inform your doctor immediately. Women should never take this drug, either during pregnancy or at any other time.
12. Esomeprazole
ESOMEPRAZOLE (Nexium®) prevents the production of acid in the stomach. It is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), ulcers, certain bacteria in the stomach, too much acid in the stomach, and inflammation of the esophagus. If you have trouble swallowing capsules, you can open the capsule and carefully pour the pellets onto one tablespoon of applesauce. For relief of symptoms, the usual dosage is one 20-milligram capsule daily for 4 weeks. Azole antifungals (eg, ketoconazole) or protease inhibitors (eg, indinavir) because the effectiveness may be decreased by Nexium.
13. Epivir
Epivir tablets and oral solution contain the active ingredient lamivudine (also known as 3TC), which is a type of medicine called a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor. It is used in the treatment of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection. When used for hepatitis B, lamivudine can slow the damage to your liver. Likewise, check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting any new medicines while you are taking this medicine, so they can check that the combination is safe. If you have both HIV and hepatitis B, you should be treated with the high-strength form of the drug along with other HIV medications.
14. Eldepryl
SELEGILINE (Carbex ® , Eldepryl ® ) helps to increase or extend the effects of levodopa or carbidopa, and slow the progression of Parkinson's disease. Selegiline belongs to a class of drugs, called monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), that block certain enzymes in the brain and change the balance of certain chemicals in the brain. Mouth ulcers (Zelapar brand of selegiline only). Wait at least 14 days after taking Eldepryl before beginning therapy with any of these drugs. Consult your doctor about the need to watch your intake of foods containing tyramine.
15. Efavirenz
Sustiva is one of the growing number of drugs used to fight HIV infection. HIV, the human immunodeficiency virus, weakens the immune system until it can no longer fight off infections, leading to the fatal disease known as AIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome). In this manner, the infection continually spreads to new, uninfected cells that the body is continually producing, and HIV infection is perpetuated. If you develop delusions, inappropriate behavior, severe depression, or suicidal thoughts, call your doctor immediately. Take it as soon as you remember.
16. Erythromycin
Topical erythromycin (applied directly to the skin) is used for the treatment of acne. For best results, you should continue the treatment for as long as prescribed, even if your acne begins to clear up. Apply gel products as a thin film over the affected area once or twice a day. Erythromycin works by killing the bacteria, which are the cause of the irritation and inflammation of acne. It may take a month or so before you start noticing the benefits of this preparation.
17. Effexor
Treating depression. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. Ask your prescriber or health care professional for advice. Store in a dry place at 20-25°C (68-77°F). If you suspect an overdose, seek medical attention immediately.
18. Estradiol
A remedy for the symptoms of menopause, CombiPatch combines the hormones estrogen (estradiol) and progestin (norethindrone acetate) in a slow-release patch that's applied to the skin. The product eases such symptoms of menopause as feelings of warmth in the face, neck, and chest, and the sudden intense episodes of heat and sweating known as "hot flashes." It is also prescribed to relieve external vaginal irritation and internal vaginal dryness. The addition of a progestin to estrogen therapy prevents endometrial carcinoma.Conflicting data exists on the association between estrogens and breast cancer. The risk increases with longer use and higher doses. The patch should be applied immediately after removing the protective layer, and pressure should be applied to the patch when it is attached for about 10 seconds.
